• The Key to Success = The Key to the Free Market

  •

As I write this, I am sitting in my Comparative Economic Systems class, and it is impossible for me to separate the study of the free market from my love for business, because the key to the free market is also the key to your success.

The only way that one can satisfy everyone’s needs is through constant exchange. That’s straight from Aristotle. To reiterate, the way to solve poverty, the way to fulfill the needs and wants of individuals is to allow for them to constantly have the opportunity to exchange. As a result, the only way to achieve a benefit for yourself is to provide a benefit for someone else.

In simplistic terms, you must give up something in order to get something. If you want to be rich, you have to provide something that is desired by the masses.

This is the key point that most internet entrepreneurs miss. Every week, I get emails from people that tell me that they need to make five thousand dollars by next week. In addition, they have chronic insomnia and can’t function during the day, so it needs to be a mindless way to make a lot of money.

This type of pipe dream of earning immediate money just doesn’t make sense, because the key to making money, the key to getting rich, is to give something up. This is the ONLY way to create a fortune. This is even true from the perspective an employee. He or she gives up time in order to get paid, and the employer gives up money for the exchange of the employee’s time. Both parties must give up something, but they create a mutual exchange that is beneficial to both.

However, on the internet, people want a quick fix. This is the classic problem of black hat marketing; it is short-sighted because no needs are filled. The power players such as Google and the large CPA networks will close the loopholes that black hatter exploit, because no one benefits but the black hatter.

Therefore, the only way to succeed is to meet the needs of others. There is no magic bullet or button that one can push and crank out a bunch of money. There is a magic formula, however: find a need, and fill it.
